The Club originated as the Changi Swimming Club back in
1972. The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) then known as the
National Sports Promotion Board (NSPB) took over from the
British Air force Officer's Club when the British Government
pulled out of Singapore. The Changi Swimming Club became a
propriety Club of SSC/NSPB and later privatised in 1988 and
renamed as Changi Beach Club.
The Club has gone through many
changes over the years, with the Sports Complex added to the
Club in 1997. The Club has continuously strived for further
improvement as more upgrading plans are in the process of
implementation.
